Do you offer express shipping? How much does it cost?

Yes! All Australian orders are shipped via Australia Post Express — at no extra cost.

How can I get an invoice for my NDIS plan manager?

You have two options:

Option 1: Use our online NDIS invoice tool (recommended)

Option 2: Request an invoice via email

Can I exchange the shoes if I’ve missed the 14-day return window?

We understand that things happen. While our standard return period is 14 days, we assess each case individually. If you've just missed the window, please contact us — we're happy to help where we can.

Do you have a physical store?

No — First Walkers is currently an online-only retailer. All orders are placed through our website.

How can I choose the right size for my child?

We’ve developed a helpful measuring guide to ensure the best fit. Visit: Sizing Guide

Please follow the guide closely and avoid adding extra length unless recommended. If your child's feet are slightly different in size, use the larger measurement. We also offer one free return per year, so if the size isn’t quite right, you can exchange or request a refund.

Are First Walkers shoes suitable for orthotics?

Yes — many of our shoes are designed to accommodate orthotics, including AFOs and SMOs. All of our footwear includes built-in arch support, and some customers or clinicians choose to remove this to suit their needs.

We recommend measuring the orthotic device rather than the foot to select the correct shoe size when using inserts or braces.
